Designed for detailed graphics, bold themes, intricate artwork, gradients, and multi-color layouts that cannot be achieved with standard vinyl customization.

Every collar is collaboratively designed with Chaotic Gear to create a completely one-of-a-kind piece built around your vision.

Because each design requires extensive artwork preparation, mockups, and UV production setup, this listing is priced as a premium custom service.

Important UV Printing Information

Please note:

• White or colored printing on black Biothane® is not possible
• Black-on-black designs may work depending on the artwork
• Large solid black printed backgrounds are not recommended
• Certain Biothane® colors work better for UV printing than others
• Print quality depends heavily on the quality of the original artwork provided

Design Space & Size Limitations

Available design space varies depending on:

• collar size
• collar width
• buckle placement
• layered construction
• tapering

Smaller collars naturally have less visible design space.

Example:
A 10" collar may only provide approximately 5" of printable space once hardware and adjustment holes are accounted for.

Highly detailed artwork, large graphics, or long phrases may need to be simplified or resized depending on collar size.

Our team will work with you to create the best possible layout while maintaining print quality and readability.

Collar Structure Options

Flat Collars

• 3/4"
• 1"
• 1.5"

Layered Collars

• 3/4" on 1" backing
• 1" on 1.5" backing
• 1.5" on 2" backing

Hound (Tapered) Collars

• 1.5" tapered to 1"
• 2" tapered to 1.5"

Hound collars feature a wider center with a tapered buckle area for improved comfort and fit.

Please note that tapered sections may slightly reduce available printable space.

Important Size Notes

⚠️ 1.5"/2" layered collars are generally not recommended for very small neck sizes.

Certain design and width combinations may not be possible depending on collar size and artwork complexity.

If adjustments are needed for structural or design reasons, we will contact you before production begins.

Please remember that translating an idea from your imagination into artwork requires detailed communication and collaboration.

Construction Notes

2" backing collars are constructed using two 1" Biothane® strips for added flexibility and durability, except in:

• Black
• White
• Neon Orange
• Red
• Yellow
• Bubble Gum
• Watermelon 

These colors are available in solid 2" material.

Important – Email Communication Required

After your order is placed, we will contact you using the email provided at checkout to begin your custom design process.

You must respond to our email for design work to begin.

If no response is received within 5 business days, production may be delayed.

Please monitor both your inbox and spam folder regularly during the design process.

Turnaround Time

⏱ UV printed collars typically require a 2–3 week turnaround after final design approval.

Production time may vary depending on artwork complexity and response times during the design process.

Custom Artwork Notice

Unless a written exclusivity agreement is arranged in advance:

• Design ownership remains with Chaotic Gear
• We reserve the right to reproduce or adapt custom designs in future collections

Mockup Approval Required

Your design will not enter production until the mockup has been approved through email communication.
